In the Samarkand region, a company in a multi-story building illegally consumed natural gas, causing 3.5 billion soums in damages, was discovered, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.

According to the information, specialists discovered that the company of the 21-apartment multi-story residential building connected to the networks directly without the necessary project documentation and illegally used natural gas. As a result, according to preliminary estimates, the organization caused damage amounting to 3 billion 560 million soums.

Additionally, during an inspection in the Tashkent region, law enforcement officers discovered a store belonging to an electricity supplying organization that had also independently connected to the network and was consuming electricity illegally without concluding a contract. As a result, he also caused 173.4 million soums in damages. Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting investigations into both cases.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Jizzakh region, a family enterprise embezzled billions of soums worth of electricity. Law enforcement officers are investigating the situation.
