On December 11, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan announced restrictions on the operation of methane gas stations.
According to the information, due to a technical malfunction in the “neighboring state’s” gas system, the volume of imported natural gas has decreased, and necessary measures are being taken. The department did not specify in which country the malfunctions occurred.
First of all, one of our main tasks is to ensure a stable supply of natural gas to households and social facilities, — the message says.
To prevent gas pressure drops in households and social facilities, methane filling stations will be temporarily restricted according to schedules agreed with local authorities.
The Ministry of Energy stated that the measures are temporary, and practical work is underway to restore the gas pressure to normal.
