In Kashkadarya, they tried to sell affordable gas to the population

Law enforcement officers seized the material evidence and began the investigation.

In Kashkadarya region, law enforcement officers stopped an attempt to illegally sell liquefied gas, the press service of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes reports.

Law enforcement officers found out that the head of a local company had agreed with an acquaintance to sell 10,200 kg of liquefied gas intended for distribution to residents on a preferential basis for 76.5 million soums. During an operational event, the Department’s officers, together with the Department of Internal Affairs, detained the suspects while loading 10,360 kg of gas into a KamAZ truck.

Also, law enforcement officers seized 35 million soums and 2000 dollars from the detainees as material evidence. As a result, law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case under Article 167 (Embezzlement or Misappropriation). Currently, investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, it was reported that gas intended for distribution to the population had been stolen in Samarkand. The supplier forged documents and sold fuel on the side.
