In Kashkadarya, a daughter-in-law fatally stabbed her mother-in-law

On September 1, in the Kashkadarya region, a girl killed her mother-in-law by attacking her with a knife, Millar reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the incident occurred around 1:00 PM in the “Yangi qishloq” neighborhood of Shahrisabz district, Kashkadarya region. It is reported that quarrels between the daughter-in-law and her husband’s mother often arose. During another conflict, a 33-year-old woman grabbed a knife, attacked her mother-in-law, and killed her.

After the committed crime, the girl herself contacted law enforcement and told them about the incident. She was detained. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 97, Part 1 (intentional homicide). The guilty party faces up to 15 years in prison. An investigation is underway.

As a reminder, the trial concerning the murder of a young woman and her mother concluded in the Tashkent region — a 25-year-old defendant was sentenced to 22 years in prison. The women died instantly. The man went to his wife and mother-in-law, then attacked them with a knife and caused multiple injuries. The accused stated his action was due to “jealousy”.
