In the Bukhara region, employees of the National Committee for Ecology conducted raids in the region, the Committee’s press service reported.

In the Peshku District, 10 individuals illegally harvested 94 wild ducks and 23 coots from the Korakir natural reservoir. This resulted in 48,204,000 soums in damage to wildlife. Additionally, in a separate incident in the Gazli area of ​​the Bukhara Region, two individuals were found to be illegally logging, collecting, and transporting saxaul.

Preliminary investigations are currently underway into these incidents. 117 illegally harvested ducks and coots, as well as 10 cubic meters of saxaul, have been seized as evidence. Control raids are ongoing.

As a reminder, poachers assaulted environmental inspectors in Bukhara. The criminals chopped down some saxaul and ran away from the police vehicle, but later attacked the environmentalists.
