Uzbekistanis will find it easier to work in Turkey
The parties will establish a fight against illegal migration, and the introduction of electronic visas and the possibility of changing status without leaving the country is expected.

The Uzbek delegation visited Ankara and held talks with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Turkey, Dunyo reports.
The main topic was the sphere of migration, the fight against its illegal forms. The Turkish side is ready to assist in legalizing the status of Uzbek citizens working in Turkey as domestic workers, but in an illegal situation. Special attention was paid to the possibility of legalizing persons temporarily employed in the construction, public catering, and service sectors. The signing of an intergovernmental agreement on social protection is also expected.
During the negotiations, it was noted that cooperation between the two countries in the field of labor migration is of mutual interest and has clear long-term prospects.
The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs will investigate the possibility of granting work permits to Uzbek citizens entering Turkey through other visa categories without the need to leave the country. In addition, the introduction of electronic work visas for citizens of Uzbekistan and the creation of a unified electronic database of unauthorized persons are expected.
The Ministries of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and Turkey plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation in combating illegal migration and facilitating the return of citizens to their homeland.
