The parties hope that this will help expand cooperation in transport, logistics, trade, industry, and other areas.

Companies from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have opened a joint representative office in Kabul to support Afghan entrepreneurs, reports Dunyo.
According to the information, Sogdiana Trans of Uzbekistan opened its representative office in the country with the support of the Afghan company Khan Daqiq. The joint representative office is planned to support Afghan entrepreneurs in the field of transport logistics.
It is noted that this discovery was an important step in expanding the company’s activities and demonstrated the desire to develop new routes connecting Europe, the CIS, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
The opening of a representative office in Kabul provides the company and its clients with a number of advantages. First of all, this is the simplification of logistics processes and the reduction of cargo delivery times, — the company said in a statement.
The head of the Afghan company Khan Daqiq Trading, Hamid Khan, stated that the company is currently capable of transporting 150 thousand tons of products per year by truck along the Kabul—Mazar-i-Sharif—Kabul route, and from Mazar-i-Sharif by rail to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, and the Baltic countries, as well as importing products from there.
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, also noted that the established joint venture will greatly contribute to expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in transport, logistics, trade, industry, and other areas.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan and Russia would design a railway through Afghanistan. The route could provide a unique opportunity for official Tashkent.
