The CA countries agreed on the mutual recognition of university diplomas
The parties also discussed the reasons why documents may not be recognized.

Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have agreed to mutually recognize documents on graduation from higher education institutions, according to a decree issued by the government of Kazakhstan.
According to the information, the parties agreed to recognize diplomas issued by accredited higher education institutions of the states in accordance with the procedure established by national legislation.
Also, to ensure quality assurance in their higher education systems, the parties agreed to recognize higher education documents obtained in the states of the parties, if the qualifications confirmed by these documents meet the general requirements for the higher education system.
In this case, refusal is allowed only if substantial differences between the requirements for the higher education system are proven. In particular, the reasons for refusal included the following cases:
- documents have not been submitted in the established form, as well as certified copies have not been provided; there are no appendices to the diploma;
- discrepancies or contradictions are found in the documents regarding the data on the program, training deadlines, or results;
- the authenticity of the diploma is not confirmed by the higher educational institution that issued this document.
Earlier, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, funding for universities will depend on the number of points they will score under the new assessment system. The establishments will be able to receive them in several categories.
