Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has permitted entry to the country for Umrah with any type of visa.
According to the information, the department noted that under the new rule, citizens can use any type of visa to enter the country: tourist, business, family, transit, and work visas. It is noted that this should simplify the procedure for pilgrims.
The Ministry emphasized that the new measure became part of a broader strategy for developing religious tourism within the framework of the Vision 2030 national program, which, according to experts, should lead to an increase in the number of pilgrims. At the same time, those wishing can also obtain a special Umrah visa, which will include a suitable package of services for performing the small Hajj.
Earlier, it was reported that a single digital portal will be developed for pilgrims from Uzbekistan. The platform will be created by presidential decree.
