In Turkey, a citizen of Uzbekistan, who stabbed his compatriot, then stole her bag and fled the scene, was sentenced.
According to the information, the incident occurred on April 18 in the Kaynardja mahalla of the Pendik district. A 47-year-old man and his 47-year-old accomplice had an argument, during which the man tried to drag her into the basement. The offender stabbed the woman several times and then disappeared, stealing her bag. After some time, law enforcement officers managed to detain the man.
In court, the Uzbekistani admitted his guilt and asked for a lighter sentence, stating that his 80-year-old mother lives in his homeland, whom he cares for. As a result, the man was found guilty of intentional homicide and sentenced to life imprisonment. Additionally, the court classified the woman’s bag as theft, for which the man was sentenced to another 6 years in prison.
Earlier, it was reported that in Turkey, an Uzbek man was sentenced to 40 life sentences for shooting people in a nightclub. The man was convicted of killing 39 people and attempting to kill 79 people.
