In Tajikistan, a student faces expulsion for driving to university in a Range Rover
Under the country's laws, students are strictly forbidden from attending classes using personal transport.

In Tajikistan, a student at the National University is threatened with expulsion for arriving on a Range Rover, the police press service reports.
The incident took place in Dushanbe. A second-year student from the Tajik National University arrived at class in a Range Rover vehicle. In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education of the country, students are strictly forbidden from attending classes using personal transport.
Violation of this rule results in expulsion from the higher educational institution for a period of three years, without the right to reinstatement. Relevant materials have been sent to the Ministry of Education and the university administration for final decision-making, — the statement said.
As a reminder, Sherzod Qudratxo’ja urged Tashkent residents to host regional students at their homes. The rector of the University of Journalism made this proposal amid a complete shortage of dormitory places.
