In 2026, Moscow will increase the price of patents for labor migrants

The authorities explained the price increase by the increase in the average salary for professions in demand among foreigners.

In Moscow, tariffs for patents for migrants will be increased in 2026, TASS reports, citing a decision by Moscow City Council deputies.

According to the information, the authorities plan to increase the cost of tariffs from 8,900 rubles to 10,000 rubles. The deputies noted that in 2025, the coefficient reflecting the regional characteristics of the capital’s labor market was 2,8592, and the patent cost was 8,900 rubles.

Taking into account the growth of average wages in sectors traditionally in demand by labor migrants, it is proposed to set this regional coefficient at 2.9323 in 2026, which will increase the cost of the patent to 10 thousand rubles per month, the document says.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia had proposed to abolish social pensions for migrants. The LDPR party stated that it is time to stop the “free social package” for visitors and thus reduce the burden on the federal budget.
