Afghanistan confirms strikes on Pakistani cities
The Taliban called the attacks a “response operation”, while Pakistan accused the Taliban of shooting at civilians.

The Taliban confirmed strikes against Pakistani soldiers in several mountainous areas of Afghanistan’s northern border, BBC reports.
The Taliban called the attacks a “response operation” after Pakistan allegedly violated Afghan airspace and bombed the market in the country. Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Nakwi described the Afghan side’s shelling as “unprovoked” and accused the Taliban of shooting at civilians.
The minister emphasized that Pakistani forces will “respond” to strikes emanating from Afghan territory. Islamabad has been accusing Afghan authorities of sheltering militants who have been carrying out attacks in Pakistan for several years. The Taliban denies these accusations.
Recall that Uzbekistan helped Afghanistan in the conflict with Pakistan. The Uzbek side has opened an air corridor for the export of Afghan fruits and vegetables to Russia, China, and India.
