Uzbekistanis will be able to donate Soliq cashback from purchases for landscaping and tree planting, according to a presidential decree.
According to the information, to finance nationwide projects in the field of ecology, research conducted to eliminate environmental problems, a State Targeted Fund for the Elimination of Nationwide Environmental Problems will be established under the Committee on Ecology. By the end of 2025, the Ministry of Finance will allocate 900 billion soums from the budget to the fund for its activities.
Also, the Tax Committee, together with the Ecology Committee, will develop a system that will allow individuals to use the “Soliq” mobile application to voluntarily allocate part of the amount returned from the state budget after purchases for tree planting. In addition, these two bodies will develop a draft law on exempting from income tax the funds of legal entities in the form of donations allocated to the Green Charity Fund under the Committee on Ecology, as well as expenses directed to the creation of green gardens and measures for their maintenance.
Earlier, it was reported that residents could block any construction projects involving tree felling. For this, it will be necessary to obtain the approval of only 10% of the residents of the mahalla.
