In Uzbekistan, it is planned to increase the volume of fruit and vegetable exports and food products, for which the authorities have developed a number of measures to support farmers, as well as the operation of greenhouses, the government decree says.

According to the information, the authorities plan to increase this figure to $3.5 billion by 2026 and raise it to $4 billion in 2026. It is also planned to increase the volume of fruit and vegetable production to 620 thousand tons in 2026 and to 670 thousand tons in 2027 by ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to greenhouses.

It is noted that this should help increase the export of these products from 30% to 70%. In 2026, the authorities plan to allocate an additional 20 thousand hectares, and in 2027, another 15 thousand hectares for planting fruit and vegetable seedlings along the edges of fields. Furthermore, for these purposes, the social tax rate will be set at 1% from January 1, 2026, until the end of 2028, and the payment deadline for tax arrears as of October 1, 2025, will be extended until the end of 2028 without accruing interest.

Earlier, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, farmers and dekhkans will not pay VAT when selling their own products. The President instructed to encourage more active food production.
