Uzbekistan wants to fine for parking non-payment
The authorities also want to combat careless parking.

In Uzbekistan, it was proposed to introduce fines for non-payment for parking near roads, Spot reports, citing the Tashkent city administration.
According to the information, during his visit to the renovated Shota Rustaveli Street, the country’s leader toured the BRT express bus, as well as reviewed a presentation on the creation of dedicated bus lanes on other streets of Tashkent and the construction of bus stations and parking lots near five entrances to the capital.
Also, within the framework of the visit, the authorities emphasized the problems of non-payment and careless parking, as well as the lack of penalty areas, using the example of a new street. As a solution to this problem, the city administration proposed introducing administrative responsibility for parking non-payment and creating penalty areas.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zoyir Yuldashev, noted that currently, there is no liability in the legislation for non-payment of the fee for parking on the roadside, and a fine can be imposed only for parking in places where the sign is installed, and in a number of other cases within the framework of the traffic rules.
Earlier, it was reported that residents of Tashkent will be able to use paid parking for free. All the details and the official decision of the capital’s khokim will be published in November.
