Uzbekistan considers Poland as one of the key “entry gates” to European markets amid rising costs of cargo transportation to the EU, which negatively affects the competitiveness of Uzbek manufacturers’ products, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the information, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland was tasked with preparing proposals for reducing logistics costs when delivering goods to European countries. Responsible officials were instructed to work with Polish partners to open a separate corridor for Uzbek cargo carriers at the Brest border crossing.

The relevant ministries will hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Uzbekistan and Romania and will reach specific agreements on expanding trade and economic cooperation. The Head of State emphasized the importance of creating a trading house in the city of Constanta and doubling the export of Uzbek products to Romania by 2026.
