Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of tourists to 25 million people by 2030
For this, the authorities want to modernize transport infrastructure, as well as improve the quality of tourist services.

By 2030, Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of foreign tourists to 25 million people and domestic travelers to 50 million citizens annually, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology reports.
According to the information, to implement their plans, the authorities plan to modernize transport infrastructure, as well as improve the quality of tourist services. It is noted that currently, more than 1 million tourists visit the country monthly. In this regard, the authorities plan to increase this figure to 2 million tourists per month.
Further, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abduhakimov stated that developing transport infrastructure, increasing the number of airports and their capacity, expanding the number of flights and hotels will significantly improve tourism infrastructure, which in turn will help bring the number of foreign tourists to 25 million people by 2030.
Earlier, it was reported that authorities would allocate 1 trillion soums for the construction of tourist and gastronomic streets in Tashkent. Shavkat Umurzakov said that 24 km of round-the-clock streets are planned to be built.
