Uzbekistan can increase exports of 9 types of construction products to 26 countries
Responsible persons were instructed to bring the project portfolio to $3.5 billion in the coming years.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on the development of the construction materials industry, the presidential press service reports.
During the discussion, it was noted that over the past eight years, the country’s population has increased by 6 million people. Accordingly, the scale of construction of new houses, roads, and social infrastructure facilities is expanding. During this period, 210 million square meters of residential and non-residential premises were commissioned. 565 thousand apartments were built, which is 10 times more than in previous years.
It was emphasized that great opportunities have been created for the construction materials industry. Its volume has increased 4 times over the past eight years and is expected to reach 53 trillion soums this year, with exports reaching $1.1 billion. The responsible officials noted that the industry has become a driver of employment and income generation in Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Khorezm, and Jizzakh regions, where there was no industry before.
At the same time, problems remain in the industry related to product quality and compliance with standards, logistics issues, and entering new markets. In particular, it was noted that despite the presence of large domestic enterprises producing PVC pipes, fittings, facing stone, and construction glass, these products were imported in large volumes in 2024.
To solve these problems, 112 projects worth $2.4 billion are planned to be implemented in the industry, which will create 13.5 thousand jobs. In addition, the authorities want to implement another 5 strategically important projects worth $110 million. Responsible persons were instructed to bring the project portfolio to $3.5 billion in the coming years.
The President emphasized that such projects should be developed taking into account the available resources, raw material base, and logistical capabilities of each region and district. It was noted that the construction materials market in neighboring countries exceeds $4 billion. In addition, there is an opportunity to increase the volume of exports of 9 types of products to 26 countries.
Responsible persons were instructed to intensify efforts to enter foreign markets and increase the production of export-oriented materials, fully utilizing the capabilities of regions and industries.
Earlier, it was reported that the real estate market in Uzbekistan would turn upside down. The President issued a decree on increasing the volume of mortgages, mass renovations, and construction by 10 times.
