The list of extremist materials has been updated in Uzbekistan
The new version includes over a thousand sources of prohibited content.

The Committee on Religious Affairs published an updated list of materials that are prohibited from being imported, produced, distributed, and shown in the territory of Uzbekistan due to their connection to the ideas of extremism and terrorism.
The new list includes more than a thousand pages, channels, accounts, and other sources on various social networks and messengers containing prohibited materials. Specifically, it included 220 Facebook pages, 709 Telegram channels and groups, 239 Instagram profiles, 104 YouTube channels, 27 “Odnoklassniki” pages, 46 TikTok accounts, 40 websites, and other sources.
The previous version of the document, published in January 2025, contained 1389 materials in audio, video, and text format. It is noted that such resources are being identified by the Committee on Religious Affairs together with the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Information and Mass Communications Agency.
Access to such materials is restricted, and their demonstration, distribution, and storage are prohibited according to the law on countering extremism. In addition, the production, storage, distribution, or demonstration of materials containing a threat to public safety and public order are grounds for criminal liability.
