The aircraft from St. Petersburg to Urgench has departed for a backup airfield in Moscow
The reason was the introduction of a “carpet” regime at Pulkovo Airport following the drone attack.

On 12 September, a flight from St. Petersburg to Urgench was diverted to a reserve airfield due to the introduction of a “carpet” regime at Pulkovo Airport, “Новости ташкентского неба” reports.
The Uzbekistan Airways flight crew, en route HY-9637 from Urgench (UGC) to Saint Petersburg (LED), decided to land at an alternative airport along the route — Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow (VKO).
Reportedly, the reason was the introduction of a “carpet” regime at Pulkovo Airport due to a drone attack. So far, the airlines have delayed more than 90 departure and arrival flights and cancelled about 40 more.
As a reminder, a man on the Izmir-Samarkand flight harassed a passenger and touched his lower waist. Law enforcement officers did not want to initiate a case against the plane’s offender, citing “the meaninglessness of the statement”.
