Students from low-income families will be paid up to 50% of the tuition fee at universities and colleges

Also, the state will allocate benefits for completing driving courses of categories A, B, D, and DE.

In Uzbekistan, starting from 2026, a number of benefits will be introduced for young people from low-income families, including free service and payment for part of the contract, according to a government decree.

According to the information, the changes will take effect from February 1, 2026. In particular, young people from low-income families included in the relevant registers will be able to serve in the mobilization call-up registry free of charge. At the same time, the previous procedure for allocating subsidies will cease to apply.

In addition, students of vocational and higher educational institutions will be paid up to 50% of the tuition fee through the “Youth Notebook” funds, taking into account the degree of fulfillment of the terms of the social contract. It is noted that the payment amount should not exceed 50 BCV (20.6 million soums) per academic year.

Also, the authorities plan to provide subsidies to young people to cover the costs of training in driver training courses to obtain driver’s licenses of categories A, B, D, and DE. At the same time, one person will be able to use various types of social assistance no more than twice a year.

Earlier, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, up to 80% of expenses for children’s clubs will be covered by the state. The option will be available for low-income families.
