Self-government bodies will build new administrative buildings

The first two floors of the buildings will be leased.

New administrative buildings will be constructed for district and city local government bodies, according to a government decree.

According to the document:

  • programs for the accelerated comprehensive development of relevant districts (cities) for 2025-2026 have been approved;
  • the list of district (city) local government bodies, which will be optimally located in one place, has been approved.

After commissioning, the new administrative buildings will have the 1st and 2nd floors, which will be leased as a priority for carrying out trade and service activities through electronic online auctions on the E-auksion platform.

The deadline for completing the development of design and estimate documentation, construction, installation, and improvement of new administrative buildings has been set for December 1, 2026. Within the framework of developing design and estimate documentation, construction, installation, and improvement of new administrative buildings for district (city) local self-government bodies:

  • “Unified Customer Service” engineering companies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional khokimiyats have been appointed as customers;
  • the main design and contracting organizations are determined in the manner prescribed by law.

As a reminder, thousands of officials in Uzbekistan will be laid off. The Ministry of Employment and the trade unions will find other jobs for the dismissed employees.
