“Online doctor” will be launched in Uzbekistan
The authorities plan to direct a number of measures to reduce the time spent by ambulance crews.

Uzbekistan plans to implement an “Online doctor” consultation system in the ambulance service starting in 2026, according to the Ministry of Health’s press service.
According to the information, in 2024, specialists have already implemented an electronic management system, as well as trained 2.4 thousand dispatchers, which helped reduce the number of delays at addresses from 1.1% to 0.3%. Also, the authorities improved the qualifications of ambulance teams at simulation training centers organized in Tashkent and Samarkand regions in cooperation with the South Korean KOFIH organization.
Overall, the number of “103” service branches has increased from 818 to 1680, and the number of brigades has increased from 1648 to 2865. At the same time, the amount allocated for medicines for one call also increased from 750 soums to 11,800 soums. These changes also affected the reduction of ambulance crew stay time from 25-30 minutes to 10-15 minutes. To make the system even more effective, the authorities plan to take the following measures:
- Introduce, starting from 2026, the “Online doctor” consultation system in the “103” service;
- Integrate the electronic programs used locally with hospitals and primary healthcare institutions.
Earlier, it was reported that South Korea would assist Uzbekistan in training medical professionals according to international standards. The parties agreed to deliver free annual training for 20 specialists from Uzbekistan.
