Mirziyoyev congratulated Japarov on his birthday

Shavkat Mirziyoyev called Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and congratulated him on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and further prosperity to the fraternal people of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the head of state reported.

According to the information, the leaders discussed practical aspects of further deepening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of strategic partnership, friendship, and good neighborliness.

The progress achieved in recent years in bilateral cooperation was noted with particular satisfaction. Contacts continue at all levels. The volume of trade turnover and cargo transportation is steadily growing. Joint projects are being implemented in priority sectors of the economy. Active cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchanges are being carried out.

Work is underway to practically implement large strategic projects, including the construction of the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan – China railway and the Kambarata HPP-1. The leaders also considered pressing issues on the regional agenda.
