In Uzbekistan, penalties will be introduced for concreting green areas
There are plans to increase the accountability of citizens and legal entities in the sphere of environmental protection.

On September 23, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted a draft law on strengthening environmental protection.
The document provides for increasing the responsibility of citizens and legal entities in the field of environmental protection. Sanctions are being introduced for the illegal provision or construction of forest fund lands. Responsibility will also be imposed for the unauthorized concreting of green spaces near multi-story residential buildings and the construction of structures in their place.
Also, data from automatic eco-monitoring stations will be sent to the geoinformation database in real time. The adoption of the law will contribute to the protection of air purity and the improvement of the environmental situation. The law must be approved by the Senate and signed by the president.
Recall that illegally occupied playgrounds and green areas began to be returned in Tashkent. The Prosecutor General’s Office identified hundreds of similar cases.
