In Navoi, dozens of enterprises were suspended for violating environmental regulations

Also, specialists dismantled nearly a hundred unauthorizedly built lime kilns.

In Navoi region, law enforcement officers conducted raids to study the work of industrial enterprises and lime kilns, resulting in two of them temporarily suspending their activities for violating environmental requirements, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology reports.

According to the information, specialists studied the operation of Category I and II enterprises, as well as lime kilns located in the city of Navoi and Karmana district. As part of the control measures, it was possible to establish that 22 industrial enterprises were operating in violation of environmental requirements.

In this regard, law enforcement officers suspended their activities, and also brought 25 officials to administrative responsibility. Also, law enforcement officers sent claims to economic courts to suspend another 22 enterprises and workshops that have a negative impact on the atmosphere, 19 of which were ultimately satisfied by the courts.

Specifically, the Navoiy Regional Economic Court’s Judicial Collegium has suspended operations at the Navoiyazot 23rd ammonia plant. In addition, by the decision of the Karmana Inter-District Economic Court, the activities of three Sogda Kimyo Zavod workshops were also temporarily suspended.

Also, during the raid, law enforcement officers discovered 92 illegal, unauthorizedly built lime kilns, which were completely demolished by specialists with the participation of relevant organizations. Currently, law enforcement officers are continuing raids.

Earlier, it was reported that Navoi began conducting an investigation into the causes of air pollution to develop and take measures to eliminate them, as well as suspending the activities of a number of companies operating without the conclusion of the state environmental expertise. Also, specialists fined 24 citizens who illegally produced lime and polluted the air.
