High-speed internet will be launched in Uzbekistan for remote regions

The authorities plan to exempt internet operators from a number of taxes.

In 2026, Uzbekistan plans to launch high-speed internet for remote areas of the country, the presidential press secretary reports.

According to the information, within the framework of the meeting on the development of artificial intelligence technologies in regions and industries, authorities plan to launch satellite internet operators to provide high-speed internet to remote regions.

At the same time, it is planned to exempt such operators from paying land tax, property tax, profit tax, and value added tax for five years.

Earlier, it was reported that the position of khokim’s advisor on digitalization and AI would be introduced in Uzbekistan. Also, in 2026, the authorities plan to launch a rating system for assessing the implementation of artificial intelligence in the regions.
