By the end of 2025, comprehensive organizational and technical measures will be developed to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to greenhouses in Tashkent and Tashkent region, according to the presidential decree.

The Ministry of Energy, the Tashkent and Tashkent regional administrations, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change were tasked with developing these measures. It is proposed to analyze the needs of existing greenhouse farms for natural gas, their current capacities, and their connection capabilities to the networks. In addition, the responsible authorities were instructed to:

  • study the technical condition and available capacities of gas distribution networks in the areas where greenhouse farms are located;
  • study the existing problems of uninterrupted supply of natural gas, issues of limits and tariffs;
  • take measures to prevent existing interruptions in the work of greenhouse farms;
  • ensure the introduction of energy-efficient heating technologies, the rational use of natural gas, and the expansion of the use of alternative energy sources.

As a reminder, Uzbekistan plans to produce 10 million tons of coal for the current autumn-winter season. The President instructed the authorities to ensure a guaranteed supply of coal to the population throughout the season.
