Ecologists counted the trees at the “Hospital” bazaar
Earlier, the market was fenced off, residents were afraid of the plants, and the authorities promised to do without cutting.

The Tashkent City Department of Ecology reacted to the improvement works at the “Hospital” bazaar, which caused concern among citizens.
The administration reported that specialists conducted an inventory of trees in the Mirobod market after information about planned construction work appeared on social media. The department noted that the district inspector thoroughly investigated the situation.
Also, the market administration and contractor organizations were officially warned by specialists about the need to preserve green spaces and treat them with care. Currently, preparatory work is underway in the area, and no violations have been identified.
It’s worth noting that the “Hospital” bazaar was previously fenced off along with a green zone as part of a project to improve and landscape the area. According to the khokimiyat, the project’s goal is to give the market and adjacent territory a modern look, as well as to create a comfortable, clean, and safe pedestrian environment for residents and visitors.
As a reminder, 145 trees were illegally cut down during the improvement of Babur Street in Tashkent, although they were planned to be transplanted. The capital’s administration reported that some of the trees were diseased, and an official investigation is underway regarding the responsible individuals’ negligence.
Later, the Ministry of Ecology conducted an inspection at the site of large-scale tree felling. The capital’s administration stated that tens of thousands of new plants will be planted in place of the destroyed ones. It was also emphasized that to prevent such incidents in the future, work will be carried out jointly with the ministry.
