In Fergana, the principal of School No. 37, who forced teachers to be on duty at the school 24/7, has been dismissed, the regional DPSE press service reported.
An investigation into the incident revealed that the acting principal of Comprehensive School No. 37 had imposed duties on the teaching staff that were not part of their job descriptions, demanding 24-hour shifts, which is contrary to current regulations.
In accordance with the order of the regional DPSE dated January 6, 2025, the acting principal of School No. 37 was dismissed. The system’s leaders were warned to prevent similar incidents in the future.
It was previously reported that the school principal signed an order mandating that teachers be on duty around the clock from December 25 to January 6 (a 13-day period) “to maintain order and peace on the school grounds and ensure the safety and health of the institution’s staff and teachers”.
