A new toll road will appear in Andijan region
They want to implement the project with the support of Chinese partners.
In Andijan region, a new toll road is planned to be built along the New Andijan—Khanabad route, reports regional governor Shuhrat Abdurahmonov.
According to the information, the authorities plan to implement the project with the participation of Chinese investors. For this purpose, the head of the region held a meeting with representatives of Chinese companies, where the parties discussed issues of attracting foreign investment to the region.
It is noted that following the negotiations, it was possible to agree on the implementation of the project for the construction of a new toll highway. It should be noted that in Uzbekistan, toll roads can only be built if there is a free alternative. The cost of travel on such roads will be assessed taking into account the interests of the population and businesses.
Earlier, it was reported that 200 km/h of toll road in Uzbekistan would cost 100 thousand soums. Transport Ministry spokesperson Hasan Umarov noted that the price is twice lower than the current fine for speeding on regular roads.
