On September 19, the border post between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will be closed for one day due to reconstruction work, the press service of the Main Customs Administration of the Khorezm region reports.
According to the information, the restrictions will affect the “Shovot” customs post located on the border between the Khorezm region and Turkmenistan. At the same time, the department noted that traffic will be suspended due to the completion of construction and reconstruction work on the territory.
It is noted that the final stage will be the laying of asphalt, and on this day, the movement of vehicles through the post will be suspended.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan and the US would expand cooperation in combating nuclear smuggling. Radiation portal monitors will begin to be installed at the country’s border customs posts.
