Najmiddin Kosimjoyev became a world champion in taekwondo

An athlete from Uzbekistan managed to win the world championship title in Taekwondo WT, the NOC press service reports.

According to the information, the event took place in China. The country’s representative Najmiddin Kosimjoev managed to defeat all his opponents in the 74 kg weight category and won the gold medal.

In the final bout, the athlete defeated Brazilian Edibal Pontez, a medalist of the Olympic Games and World Championships, thus winning gold in men’s taekwondo for the first ten years.

Earlier, it was reported that Ulugbek Rashitov became a two-time Olympic champion in taekwondo. The athlete defeated the Jordanian in the final with a score of 2:0.
