Akbar Juraev became a three-time world champion in weightlifting
The athlete won a gold medal and set a new world record at the tournament in Norway.

Weightlifter Akbar Juraev has become a three-time world champion, achieving a triumphant result, the NOC press service reports.
The athlete, competing in the 110 kg weight category, took part in the World Weightlifting Championships in Norway. Akbar Juraev won the gold medal in the snatch exercise, lifting 196 kg and setting a world record.
After the victory and world record in the snatch exercise, Juraev lifted 232 kg in the clean and jerk and, according to the results of the two-wrestling competition, gained 428 kg, becoming the absolute world champion.
Earlier, it was announced that specialised sports schools would start operating in Uzbekistan. Graduates will be able to obtain a diploma in the relevant sport and a coaching qualification certificate.
