A regional FIFA office for the countries of Central Asia will be opened in Tashkent, the presidential decree says.
The expenses for the organization and maintenance of the regional office will be covered primarily by funds allocated by FIFA, the missing part — by the Uzbekistan Football Support Fund, but not more than 50% of the total expenses.
The office will be located in the building of the Uzbekistan Football Association, and the expenses for repairing the regional office building, providing the necessary furniture, equipment, machinery, and vehicles will be covered by funds allocated by the Reconstruction and Development Fund. At the same time, the minimum requirements for the content are determined by the Football Association of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it was reported that the FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held in Uzbekistan. The decision was made by the Federation Council.
