Overtime pay will be calculated differently
Amendments have been made to the Labor Code.

In Uzbekistan, overtime work will be paid double, according to a government decree.
According to the information, the authorities have made amendments to the Labor Code that exclude the norm on the maximum duration of overtime work of 120 hours per year. The document also establishes that the employee will be paid at least one and a half times the minimum wage for the first two hours of overtime work per day. In this case, overtime work exceeding two hours must be paid at least double the amount.
It is worth noting that mandatory and voluntary social insurance may appear in Uzbekistan. The senators approved a law defining the procedure for payments for temporary disability and pregnancy. The document defined the implementation by the State Social Insurance Fund of three types of payments, namely insurance payments for temporary disability due to illness, pregnancy and childbirth, loss of work or income.
Earlier, it was reported that benefits in Uzbekistan would begin to be paid proactively. The authorities plan to implement the new system in 2026.
