Two freight trains derailed in Tashkent region

No one was injured, however, due to the emergency, several routes were delayed.

Two freight trains derailed in the Tashkent region, causing several scheduled flights to be delayed, according to the press service of Uzbekistan Railways.

According to the information, the incident occurred on September 27 in the area of the Olmazor station—Rasulobod railway station in the Chinoz district of Tashkent region — when two wagons of a freight train carrying dairy products derailed.

Two freight trains carrying milk products have withdrawn from their flights. As a result, high-speed Afrosiyob trains №769 on the Bukhara—Tashkent route and №765 on the Samarkand—Tashkent route were delayed, causing passengers to arrive late to their destinations.

To eliminate the consequences of the emergency, the district Department of Emergency Situations, duty shifts, and specialized services arrived at the scene. The technical issues were resolved by 9:30 PM. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. To date, the movement has been fully restored and is being carried out according to schedule.

Earlier, it was reported that the Afrosiyob train would increase the number of flights on the Tashkent—Samarkand route. The changes are aimed at improving passenger comfort.
