More than a hundred trees were illegally cut down in Tashkent — video
Initially, it was planned to transplant trees, but the responsible officials violated the rules.

On October 26, information circulated on social media about the illegal felling of 145 trees in Tashkent. The capital’s administration commented on the incident.
It was revealed that during the improvement and landscaping work on Babur Street, where 83 seedlings of elix and more than 62 thousand ornamental bushes are being planted, negligence was allowed in the execution of certain works.
Previously, there were about 145 juniper trees here, a significant portion of which, according to specialists’ conclusions, had been affected by the disease and were gradually wilting. Initially, they were supposed to be carefully transplanted, but the responsible persons violated the established requirements. An official investigation is being conducted on this fact.
According to the advisor to the head of the Ministry of Ecology, Rasul Kusherbayev, the damage caused to nature amounted to 620 million 472 thousand soums. The case materials have been formalized and sent to the prosecutor’s office to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Currently, the prosecutor’s office needs to ensure that the issue is considered objectively and legally, as Yakkasaray district’s environmental officials are under pressure and are not being given the opportunity to conduct an investigation and process documents promptly. The situation is under the control of the Ministry of Ecology, — the statement said.
Recall that a deputy inquiry was sent to the head of the Ministry of Ecology due to the increase in cases of illegal tree felling. Ecological Party member Gulchehra Tadjiboyeva demanded information on the reason for the felling of dozens of plants.
