An enterprise that embezzled natural gas on a large scale was found in the Tashkent region, the press service of Uzenergoinspektsiya reports.
According to the information, the incident occurred in the Urtachirchik district. An illegal connection to the gas network was discovered in the family business building.
Specialists determined that the damage amounted to 1 billion 5 million soums. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted by law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, it was reported that cases of natural gas theft were identified in the Khorezm region. The damage to the state amounted to hundreds of millions of soums.
