In Tashkent, traffic violators attempted to bribe traffic police officers
Law enforcement officers refused the money and tamed the criminals.

In Tashkent, two drivers were detained, who first violated traffic rules, and then tried to resolve the issue with law enforcement officers using a bribe, the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reports.
According to the information, in the first case, the driver ignored the law enforcement officer’s signal to stop the car and attempted to flee the scene. However, shortly after, the offender’s car was found and stopped. As a result, the vehicles were sent to the impound lot. After that, the man tried to negotiate with the inspector, offering him a bribe of $500. The law enforcement officer reported this to the Department of Internal Affairs, after which the man was detained.
In a similar incident, the suspect was driving a car without a driver’s license and was also stopped by the police. To prevent law enforcement officers from transferring the seized documents to investigative bodies and returning the car from the impound lot, the man offered a $200 bribe to the traffic police officer. Law enforcement officers also detained the offender on the spot while transferring money.
As a result, law enforcement officers initiated criminal proceedings against both individuals under Article 211 (Giving a bribe). Currently, investigative actions are underway.
Earlier, it was reported that a law enforcement officer in Tashkent refused a $50,000 bribe. A member of a criminal organization involved in cryptocurrency operations attempted to bribe a police officer.
