In the Tashkent region, a number of developers who failed to deliver their homes on time filed a lawsuit to recover over 11 billion soums to buyers, the press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition reports.
According to the information, the department received a number of complaints from residents regarding several construction companies that did not deliver the apartments on time, despite the timely payment by future residents. Based on these complaints, specialists conducted an inspection and transferred to the judicial authorities applications for the recovery of more than 11 billion soums in favor of 32 consumers.
As a result, law enforcement officers issued decisions to recover 6.7 billion soums in favor of 16 consumers in relation to the companies Glamur Gold, Transport Free Group, Lucky Technical, Broccoli Plus, and NUR. Currently, court proceedings are ongoing to restore the violated rights of other consumers.
Earlier, it was reported that developers would be required to name residential complexes in Uzbek. They will also be required to write all information about the object in the state language.
