In Tashkent, law enforcement officers detained three citizens who created a Telegram bot for the illegal sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances, the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the information, law enforcement officers detained the suspects in the Yunusabad district. During the search, law enforcement officers seized four mobile phones, three laptops, 12 bank plastic cards from various banks, 11 SIM cards, as well as narcotic substances wrapped in paper.
Also, during the inspection of their mobile phones, it was found that the men had made about 95 thousand cryptocurrency transactions through foreign and other electronic crypto-wallets. The total turnover of crypto assets amounted to $2.375 million. As a result, law enforcement officers initiated criminal cases under the relevant articles and detained the men.
Earlier, it was reported that a large batch of drugs from Tajikistan had been stopped in Uzbekistan. Law enforcement officers seized about 100 kilograms of opium and methamphetamine.
