In Tashkent, a 25-year-old student killed a girl and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, Millar reports.
The incident occurred in a rented apartment where a young man invited an acquaintance. The attacker met her through a Telegram channel with intimate advertisements. According to the accused, after the meeting, the girl began to blackmail him and demand 5 million soums.
This angered the young man and he strangled the girl. To conceal the crime, the man wrapped the body in a sheet, tied it with a rope, left it on the balcony, and fled. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 97, Part 1 (Intentional homicide). He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Earlier, it was reported that the President of Kyrgyzstan intends to introduce the death penalty for crimes against children and women. Sadyr Japarov initiated the bill following an incident involving a 17-year-old girl who was raped and killed by a previously convicted man.
