In Tashkent, a previously convicted 16-year-old schoolboy was caught stealing phones and money from someone’s car, the Supreme Court’s press service reports.

According to the case materials, in April 2025, the schoolboy had already been convicted of a similar crime under Article 169, Part 2, Clauses “v”, “g” (Theft by a group of persons with prior conspiracy with illegal entry into a dwelling, storage facility, or other premises). Then the guy’s family got away with a fine.

However, later the boy quarreled with his parents and ran away from home, after which he committed the theft again. He took advantage of the fact that three citizens left their car windows open and stole money and phones. He was found guilty under Article 169, Part 3, Clause “a” (Theft committed repeatedly or by a dangerous recidivist). The young man was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Recall that in Navoi region, a drunk schoolboy organized a race with traffic police officers. His adult acquaintance, also intoxicated, drove the teenager’s car.
