In the Bukhara region, law enforcement officers conducted a large-scale operation to apprehend a man who stole a mobile phone and attempted to flee with it, the regional Department of Internal Affairs press service reported.
The incident occurred on September 14 in the Bukhara district. A local resident filed a complaint with law enforcement. The man said he posted an announcement on the internet about selling his iPhone. He responded to a citizen who arrived at the meeting in a Nexia-3 car without license plates and with tinted windows.
The offender stated that he would take the money from the car, after which he fled with his mobile phone. At 02:30, law enforcement officers announced a “intercept” plan to detain the man, however, during the operational actions, the 22-year-old man disobeyed the lawful demands of the police officers and damaged several vehicles.
As a result, law enforcement officers managed to apprehend the offender. A criminal case has been initiated against the man under part 2 of Article 219 (Resistance to a representative of authority or a person performing a civic duty) and part 3 of Article 166 (Robbery) and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been imposed, the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, it was reported that a man in Tashkent robbed a car and spent money on alimony and women. Law enforcement officers identified the suspect and initiated criminal proceedings against him.
