In Tashkent, a man stalks, beats, and threatens his ex-wife — video
At the same time, law enforcement officers are not extending the victim's protection order or taking control of the case even after two incidents of assault.

In Tashkent, a man is chasing and threatening his wife with prison if she doesn’t take back the statement written at the district police department, NeMolchi reports.
The woman said she had been living with the man for three years. After their separation, persecution began: he regularly appears in a drunken state, threatens, calls, tries to establish control, and doesn’t let them live peacefully. The woman had previously received a protection order, the validity period of which expired on September 20.
In addition, on September 18, she appealed to the district police officer with a request to extend the warrant, but the case was not sent to court. The victim could not find out the reasons. On October 16, an aggressor attacked a woman right in the parking lot near her workplace. He threatened, tried to hit, and insulted. Colleagues intervened and stopped the attack. The victim filed a complaint with the Department of Internal Affairs.
On October 25, the man attacked again, but already near the house where she lives with her children. He threatened again, grabbed the woman by the hair, and shouted about some money. She also called 102 and wrote an application. But even after two attacks and statements, she still wasn’t issued a protection order.
He keeps threatening. He says he has connections and can throw something into my car, and then I’ll get in. I stopped driving my car, — she said.
It is reported that law enforcement officials are not providing information on the progress of the case. It is unknown whether a preventive conversation was conducted with the aggressor. The procedural deadlines for the first application have already passed, but the victim has not received an official response. Calls and appeals remain unanswered.
What else needs to happen for the Department of Internal Affairs to start performing its duties? Why is the mother of three children forced to live in fear, while the aggressor feels unpunished and threatens with connections? Why aren’t the protection orders that should protect women extended in time? We are requesting the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate the actions of the Bektemir District Police Department, assess the reasons for the violation of procedural deadlines, clarify why the protection order was not extended for the victim, and ensure the reinstatement or extension of the protection, — NeMolchi said in a statement.
Recall that in Fergana, a man stabbed his wife and daughter over alimony. A dispute arose between the spouses, which ended in tragedy.
