In Kashkadarya, authorities found 20 kilograms of drugs in the possession of a man with a prior conviction
The suspect was storing the prohibited substances for resale.
In Kashkadarya region, law enforcement officers, as part of a special operation, found more than 20 kg of drugs in the possession of a 44-year-old previously convicted citizen, the State Security Service press service reports.
According to the information, the incident occurred in the Chirakchi district. Department employees, in conjunction with the regional Department of Internal Affairs, conducted a special operation to search the apartment of a 44-year-old citizen who had previously been convicted twice. During the search, law enforcement officers managed to find 20 kg 658 grams of marijuana in his house, which was stored in three synthetic bags.
Law enforcement officers found out that the man had stored the narcotic substance for further sale. Law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case against him under Article 237, Part 5 (Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, and other actions with narcotic drugs) and detained him.
Earlier, it was reported that illegal drug trafficking had been stopped in Syrdarya and Namangan regions. In one case, the spouses organized a “family business” and prepared prohibited substances right in the living room.
