In Kashkadarya region, a 31-year-old resident was brought to justice for preparing 14 pots of wedding pilaf, UzNews reports.
The incident occurred on October 13 in the Chirakchi district. A man with a disability held a wedding at home, attended by a large number of relatives and neighbors. To feed all the guests, he organized the preparation of pilaf in 14 large cauldrons.
It turned out that this is a violation of the current norms for conducting events. The man admitted his guilt and repented, saying he hadn’t expected so many guests and asked for a lighter sentence. The court imposed a fine of 4 million 120 thousand soums under Article 192-1 (Failure to comply with the requirements for the procedure for holding weddings, family celebrations, ceremonies, and rituals).
Earlier, it became known where the most expensive plov is in Uzbekistan. The cheapest portion of plov turned out to be in Karakalpakstan.
