In the Samankol mahalla of the Khojeyli district, three members of one family died from carbon monoxide poisoning in one of the houses, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

The incident occurred on December 13. A man rebuilt a homemade heating stove to heat the house: he cut off the chimney, moved the stove to another room, and illegally connected it to the gas network without a chimney.

As a result, he and his two grandchildren died at the scene without regaining consciousness. Currently, the relevant law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the incident. The Hojayli district administration is providing social assistance to the families of the deceased.

Earlier, it was reported that in the Jizzakh region, newlyweds were found dead on the fourth day after the wedding.
